Sky Captain - Joe Sullivan - reflects on the events he and Polly have seen, and what they mean.

Based on the 2004 film "Sky Captain and World of Tomorrow". Joe and Dex go back a long way, long before Joe spent six months in a slave camp in Manchuria. This is a short prequel that takes place when he gets out and returns to The Flying Legion before the events of the movie. I don't own these characters and have never flown in anything with less than two engines.

Late summer, 1944. Dex is on his way to present an invention that will end the stalemate in eastern to Allied Command, but traitorous elements within the Legion have other plans for him and his machine. When both he and Sky Captain end up trapped behind enemy lines, the race is on to escape before the Nazis catch on to the double prize within their grasp.

After the incident with Totenkopf's island, Joe is more than happy to let things return to the way they were. But when he finds his best friend at the bottom of a bottle of vodka, it's obvious that nothing will ever be the same again. Not with the feelings between them. Fluffy slash; Joe/Dex.
