when a little island girl washes up on the shore of his island, maui does the next best thing. he pushes her aside, steals her boat. finally, the gods are granting him mercy after—wrong. in a turn of events, he gets saddled with some stupid kid to "right his wrongdoings". whatever that means. he just doesn't realize that she'll be sticking with him longer than he'd thought. pair(?)

Following the events of Moana 2, Maui seeks out an old friend for a chat.

Maui promised Moana he wouldn't meddle, and he wasn't meddling! Spying on your best friend while she was on a date didn't count as meddling, right? Or, Maui is a love-struck idiot, and tries to sabotage Moana's evening with a potential suitor.

A one shot expansion of what I think was implied by the creators of Moana 2 at the end of the film. After Moana returns to her home after breaking Nalo's curse and being revived as a Demigod. This is how I think they should've ended the film before the post credit scene.
