This is a rewrite of Dartxni's "The Energy/Power of Hidden Emotions". It follows a pretty similar arc and is not my own idea, but I found the ao3 ending a little dissatisfying after reading the fic on here. So, a rewrite that will absolutely be finished, for my own sake if no one else's. Essentially, Matilda's power returns because she's repressing her attraction to Jenny. Pls R&R!

I've always loved the relationship between Matilda and Miss Honey and thought that it would be a very unique experience adopting a child like Matilda. Matilda is a survivor of childhood trauma and she seems remarkably well adjusted despite the abandonment and verbal and emotional abuse she experienced.
