Leslie Vernon wants to become the next Slasher icon. He wants to become as big as his idols Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers and many others. However, unlike his 'heroes', he is only human and this makes it difficult. And it all leads to a night of nightmares and doubts over whether he can become the legend he so wants to be.

Taylor, Doug and Doc Halloran are slowly returning to a normal life after the Vernon Incident. The three of them start to travel back home and Taylor begins to have terrifying nightmares. Doc Halloran tells her nightmares are a normal part healing after a traumatic incident, but Taylor isn't convinced.
