The one saving grace of that first kiss, that could make the kiss sort of okay, morally, was that it was in a timeline where they were just friends. Well... okay, maybe the kiss might have changed that. A little? Clarissa was thrown into a spiraling adventure when Leave Became Possible. Author's Note: I wanted to see what kind of adventure Clarissa could go on, when she's not demonstrating the force of gravity, perching on lamp posts, or breaking into people's houses.

When you're off, the little machine has no more heart than a brain. This fic will begin with a variation on the plot of the game from Nona's point of view. She harbors a crush on her best friend, Clarissa, but shenanigans on the island make that kind of difficult. Things may get more complex as time goes on.

the ghosts, the island, the five. these things never change, because time is a circle, and a circle never ends. when you reach its end, it's only a new beginning. but maybe this circle is more like a spring. a spring a thousand miles long, but still one that eventually reaches an end. the only problem is, to reach that end, you have to go all the way to the very bottom.
