This is a rewrite of my old story. I wanted to redo it because I felt like I could do better. This is a scene that I wish we could have had in Mass Effect 3. I was never satisfied with how ME3 handled the issues of Cerberus and what happened on Horizon. I still don't know if I did it justice here.

When I write it's common for me to trash chapters that have already been partially or fully written. this scrap yard is so you can all see my forever incomplete work, older drafts, or those I have abandoned. They are mostly not edited so expect lots of errors.

Set long after the events of Mass Effect: Andromeda (And written long before that games release), a group of pathfinders travel back to the Milky Way to discover the fate of their galaxy. What will they find? EDIT MEA has been released now, and is naturally very different from what I guessed. Consider this story very AU.

This will be the prologue to the main story of Constance Shepard and her journey to defeat the Reapers. The main theme is centered around the idea of the Alliance actually having a top tier military that actually knows what it is doing. It is a human focused story where the Alliance military generally kicks the crap out of everybody because humans are really damn good at war.

Coming to with being reborn? Doable. Finding out you're in the Mass Effect universe? Slightly more difficult. I know I'm no soldier material but I want to do what I can to help save the galaxy. To that goal I will become one of the worst beings in human society. A businessman and politician. A SI/OC-story of a different kind.

Shepard lives out her life on the Citadel as she struggles to make sense of a warped reality. Her understanding of the nature of the universe is upended by a message from someone named "Archangel" who promises her precious answers, if only she can evade the monster hunting her in the shadows. But how deep does the rabbit hole go? This is a completed work, updating weekly.

These are the last days. The last days of the Third Reich, the last days of the Western Front and the last days of Humanity being alone in the universe. The world is about to change; but will it be for the better?

ME2 to ME3. A love story between a Human Commander and a Turian sniper. An unlikely love was born from saving the galaxy over and over again. There is no Shepard without Vakarian.
